Kew Gardens People Counter
Over the years, More Control has dealt with numerous automation applications for counting people to determine traffic flow and to help with generating marketing information.
From this experience, More Control were requested to design a counting system to accurately count the number of people at the Kew Gardens tree top walkway to ensure comfort and safety on the walkways.
Counting Application Brief
Given the structural nature of the Kew Gardens tree top walkway, it was important to regulate the number of people at any one given area for both health and safety issues.
More Control modified the Kew Gardens standard people counting system to determine the number of people in any given area and report this both logically on a message display board and globally via an Ethernet and internet connection.
Through the introduction of an alarm and warning system, More Control was able to accurately count each visitors location on the Kew Gardens walkway within a very tight time scale. This in turn ensured maximum safety and comfort for visitors on the Kew Gardens tree top walkway and allowed Kew Gardens to determine the following information:
- Number of Patrons at any given moment
- Locations of high / low volumes of visitors
- Times of day with most / least visitors
More Control was able to develop a complete turn key solution to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of all patron of the Kew Gardens tree top walkway.
